D.O Rioja A wine with an innovative character from 1998 that brings passion and fidelity. We are talking about carefully selected grapes 100% Tempranillo variety and 100% from the village of Cenicero, to be precise from the amazing location of “El Monte”.VINEYARD 34 years old bush trained, with an altitude between 406 and 430 meters.The delicate calcareous - clay soil in Monte Real is shallow, ochre colour, with pebble surface appearance that softened the effects of the weather conditions for the harvest.Sustainable viticulture with minimum photosanitary intervention, on dry land.The fermentation is focused on promoting the selection of “native yeasts” located in our vineyards which underline the varietal character of Monte Real (investigative program LEV2050). Aged for 24 months in American and French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES IIntense red cherry colour, with subtle brick touches. Ample edge, with persistent tears. Medium high coat, clean and bright.
